Sierra Fastpitch Girls Softball is a youth softball organization for  players ages 5 through 16. The 501(c)3 non profit youth sports league was formed in the 1970's as Reno Bobby Sox Softball. In 2001, the league changed it's national affiliation to ASA/USA Softball .

     We encourage family participation and involvement. We are a USA Softball affiliated organization. All Coaches and dugout staff must be  Background Checked and Certified.

 

We play both Spring & Fall Seasons. We have recreational league teams for girl's ages 5 to 16 years of age, and encourage young and first time players to join our league.

 

Our 6U Divisions play T-Ball. Our 8U through 14U Divisions use live pitching. Many of our coaches have several years of experience at Tournament Level, and we encourage first time Coaches to participate.

 

There are no tryouts. 6U and 8U are often grouped by school or area. 10U through 14U divisions are formed by draw with limited pre selection to encourage parity among teams.

 

We provide insurance, uniform shirts, a basic picture package, and trophies for our 6U/8U

 players during the Spring Season along with 10U/12U/14U Divisional Champions. Our teams play on softball fields at Jamaica Park-Pine Middle School, Vaughn Middle School and at Hilltop Park in Northwest Reno.

 

We hold a Spring end of season League Tournament of Champions for the 8U through 14U divisions.We participate in District and State Championship Tournaments with 10 through 14 and Under divisions of the League All Star Teams.

 

Most importantly, we offer a teaching environment where parents, coaches and girls can learn the fundamentals of softball, along with the values of teamwork and sportsmanship.
